Strategic Account Executive—Central US

About the Role

As the strategic account executive, you will be joining Delve as an early member of the sales team and will have a unique opportunity to help build commercial strategy and operations, while also introducing a game-changing technology into mainstream infectious disease testing. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and work with various functions including but not limited to marketing, customer success and product managers. Your role will be vital to the growth and success of Delve Bio. This is a rare opportunity to have a significant impact on a growing company at the forefront of precision medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales territory goals. through management and growth of existing accounts and business development for new accounts.
  • Provide field intel & product feedback to internal teams such as Marketing, R&D, product development and customer service.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans and sales training plans.
  • Manage customer information in Delve’s CRM (SFDC)Salesforce.
  • Ensure all customer inquiries are rapidly addressed or forwarded to the appropriate team member.
  • Manage a T/E budget.
  • Adhere to all policies & rules in a highly regulated environment.
  • Collaborate with all members of Delve Bio’s team across all disciplines of the organization.
  • Stay up to date with current scientific information in the NGS and ID industries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience selling in diagnostics required, metagenomics or NGS is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience selling in infectious disease or neurology are preferred
  • Experience selling in a hospital or institutional setting is highly preferred
  • Proven track record of being a top sales performer
  • Proven ability to work independently and have accountability for consistent results
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • 60 percent travel in a large multi-state territory
  • Ability to sell scientifically complex and technical products
  • Existing relationships with lab directors, pathologists, microbiologists, neurologists and infectious disease specialists is a plus
  • Must live in close geographically proximity to the Central Region (Houston or Dallas)
  • Strong scientific and technical skills. Previous experience as an MSL or applications specialist, a plus
